Looking for a reasonably priced VPS for an email client -

Well let me start this off by saying Hello to everyone! This is my first post here at WHT, looks like a good place to be a part of!

Well anyways, I'm looking for a VPS solely to host Interspire email marketer - I'm also not looking to spend a lot of money.

Would like to have a cpanel - but not required I guess

Let me know guys! I look forward to suggestions!
Thanks!

Welcome to WHT!

Do you plan on using the VPS to send out a lot of emails? Or just to receive emails? Just a bit confused on what you're looking for at the moment.

And what's your current budget?

Thank you for the warm welcome

Yes I'm looking to mail a lot out. Not receiving.

Would only need it for a month or so - maybe longer, but definitely a month to start off with.

My budget is not high at all.. Anything under $45-$50 Would be much happier with less than that as well.

Thanks for the reply

Well then you may land into trouble. Many providers are not very fond of people using their server to send out a lot of emails. Before signing up with any host, I'd recommend you provide the potential host with your intentions.

And are you permitted to send out all the emails? Meaning, it's not spam is it? This is a big reason why many hosts would be reluctant.

Your budget on the other hand is nice.

Yeah - See I was reluctant to state the fact that it could be considered spam - Some are subscribed users, some are not.

Any VPS that do not really pay attention to it? :-p

Any host that doesn't pay attention to spam being sent out is likely to have their IPs blacklisted in many areas which would mean more emails blocked for you.

You should look for a service that specializes in sending out mass emails. Not really a VPS service but a service on its own.

Try googling "bulk email hosting" or "bullet proof hosting". You'll find services that are specialized in such things as standard providers do not like to deal with IPs getting blacklisted even if they allow bulk e-mailing or not.

Besides many hosts limit the number of emails you can send out during any given time. It is also against just about every TOS/AUP to send out SPAM/UCE and most competent hosts will lock you down fast.
