Looking for a couple people to provide me with a network test from Eastern Europe and beyond ( Russia, Ukraine etc. ) and Western and Southern Americas.

I would also like to hear from anyone farther afield.

Basically OVH has a great European network I am wanting to see what it is like outside of their POP.

If people could provide me with the following info from downloading the OVH test file located here - ftp://ftp.ovh.net/test.bin

Example:

As you requested Asia; i tested it from a server in Hong Kong:

494.67 KB/s Hong Kong ; it was a very bumpy connection going up and down like a roller coaster, not saying this was OVH's fault ; chances are much more that this was caused at the Hong Kong datacenter.

Some tests from HK towards a server in Frankfurt showed the same type of transfer although a good 200KB/s faster as towards OVH.

As you can see, the OVH network is not on par with any of the tested networks. They utilize peering mostly and limit transit. This is no secret, they clearly stated several times that they route lowest cost.
