Question

Windows Server 2003 email login, 2008 is it the same?

We had a windows server 2003 deployed a number of years ago, the main complaint we have is that in order to check email we need to login to exchange every time outlook is opened (pop up login box - outlook).

Does anyone know if you still need to login if I upgrade the server to win 2008

Thanks

This problem is not to do with your server OS, but Exchange and the authentication protocol you use. If your Exchange server is set to use Basic Authentication, you will get a prompt every time you open Outlook, you need to set it up to use NTLM authentication to allow it to save the password and stop the prompt.
