    TeamSpeak 3 goes Open Beta!

Has anyone had a chance to download and play with the new TeamSpeak 3 client and features?

I'm absolutely loving everything they've done. I've only had a good couple of hours with the client but so far... SOLID!

Oh yeah, the new File Transfer option is pretty nifty!

I downloaded this morning. I'm loving it. Great voice quality, much better than Ventrilo, IMHO.

Indeed, I think they're on a winner here.

I'm still undecided as to whether we'll try hosting it or not, it looks like a really solid product but I probably wouldn't use it myself.

They've basically included lots of what was good about Mumble, but given it a proprietary software spit-and-polish. I just wish the Mumble fanboys wouldn't act so butthurt on forums and mailing lists about it - anything that gets gamers thinking outside the Ventrilo box is a good thing!
I used to run the oldest commercial Mumble host.

Ventrilo was much better than TeamSpeak RC2, in terms of voice quality. But TeamSpeak 3 definitely has Ventrilo beat in that category. I'm happy that the program has finally been released.

Sweet news, I plan on trying it out. Already host TS on a home server, might give it a whirl this coming week.

I'll have to give it a try. TS has been awesome in the past (my own past usage).

TeamSpeak 3 has been amazing, I have been fiddling with it all day and cant wait to add it to my services. They have come a long way and it was well worth the wait. I am curious to know what ventrilo will be doing about this since this will most definitely be taking a huge chunk of their sales.

    It IS really good.

We've got about 135 loaded up on one server right now and it's running like a champ. The guys are sharing files, messaging the hell out of eachother and obviously chatting.

I really like the new Token system.

The only downfall was the time given to update old TS2 panels, etc. A couple of weeks was not enough for me. I'll be a few weeks late fully supporting it.

Anyone know (because I'm too lazy to look) if TS3 server & client can work alongside TS2 server & client?

I would like to try out TS3 but have a lot of active users on a TS2 server & don't want to drop that until we've thoroughly tested TS3

    Edit: Looks like it's popular!!

    TEAMSPEAK 3 HAS ARRIVED!

Teamspeak have definitely mass improved there software. Not only is the design much more user-friendly but the audio quality is amazing compared to how it was in TS RC2.

I think Teamspeak 3 has just opened up another 'port' for the hosting industry as more and more people will be looking for the all new TEAMSPEAK 3 servers!

Brilliant piece of software. Ventrillo has always been #1 for me..Is that all about to change?

I will never understand what made TeamSpeak sit back and allow Ventrilo to grab up so much marketshare like they did... however. That's all about to end!

This program has blown me away!!! A "TRUE" software update.

TeamSpeak 3 has no compatibility with TeamSpeak RC2. You'll need to set up a TS3 server to try it out. Not sure if that's what you were asking.

What I meant was can I install TS3 server on a machine already running TS2 server without them interfering with each other, similarly for the client
