VPSLink Down?
This afternoon I could not get to my servers or most of the VPSlink website (like the forums). I just get "connection reset by by server" after a few seconds.
I decided it was some kind of DDOS attack and waited. It is now a few hours later and they are still down.
This scares me. They going out of bidness?

Thanks for the twitter link. I'll try them.
It's more than the forums. Accout login and support are also gone. or terminally slow. Mostly I get "server reset connection", but in the last few minutes I have been getting timeouts.

Okay back from checking twitter.
Their first tweet on the subject was 3 hours ago. "Some network problems". then 2hrs later they found out they had power issues. Really?
I've been happy with them for 2+ years, but I noticed the problem 5 hours ago. So it took them at least 2 hours for them to notice they had a problem, then two more to figure out they had a power outage.
I guess you get what you pay for. Spry techs must be working on vpslink issues during their break time.

Have you tried sending an e-mail to support@vpslink.com ???
They also have a WHT member you can PM but they haven't logged in since 20NOV09.
VPSLink.com sure does make it hard to find their phone number, almost impossible.

I was a VPSLink customer for 1 year, they reeled me in with a 50% off coupon if you prepay for 1 year. I didn't remember any downtime issues but I barely used the VPS and only used it for testing, hosting files/images, etc.
Bingo!
Remember to download backups frequently!

Everything is fine now. I got miffed because there was really no way to find out what was going on.
The customer portal (my.vpslink.com) the forum and my sites where all down/not accepting connections.
Prior to this I have had no complaints with them. Now I have to question the wisdom of hosting all of their customer interaction sites as well as the clients' servers in the same data center. I'm sure they could afford a nice VPS somewhere
