    Illegitimate activity?

I'm not really sure if this is the proper location to post this, but I may have someone on my hands that is abusing my CDN.

I am not to familiar with how CDNs work, but isn't there a way to track IPs, and how much throughput certain IPs have put through, why don't you look into that and ban the IP that is putting so much data through?

I've not really seen many but the ones I have used didn't display this sort of data.

Which CDN are you using? Have you tried contacting them?

The only thing I could think to suggest is to contact Internap and see what information/logs/etc they can provide to you. Surely there are logs but I just don't know that they're made available without having to ask for them first.

I just did, they said they don't have POP based IP address logs.

The only thing I could think is to pull the content off of the POP temporarily and host it from a central location and see who is abusing it. I don't know if there are any CDN's out there that will be able to provide logs to identify such abuse and even if they did I don't know what you'd do to stop it.

Drop the CDN, host it off of a single server and then get a list of offending IPs ... I'm not sure that it will do you any good because just like they can't provide you with POP based IP logs I doubt they can block particular IPs from particular POPs.
