webNX sign up horrible and need alternative

    Hello all WHT,

Tried to sign-up with webNX since last friday, they insisted we are 50% fraud as we are using our company private proxies and their sign-up form never asked the email need to be put as PayPal Verified Business email. They've promised to get the billing to send us invoice after numerous explanation and up to 2 days, there is nothing from now. Guess they've no interest with us anymore. This is my first time ever, being insist as fraud before paying them. The funnies part - they must put the primary email must matched with our PayPal Verified Business Customer instead of my senior colleague email and they have changed it but still there is nothing from them.

Currently we have LSN / ThePlanet and we need Mzima in 2 of our new servers.

I am looking for preferable with Mzima connection (or some LA Dedicated Provider) or has good connection to Asia as our offshore company and customers located @ Asia. Please suggest me, many thanks.

you can have a look at PacificRack, they also have Mizma connection, further more, they are peering with some ISPs in asia, e.g. hinet.

With Mzima network, what is the ping/speed from asia?

Did you test the Mzima network already? Just curious.

As you have some kind of the specific requriment I would recommend you using FIND A HOST option here on the WHT
I suppose if there some subscribed providers there you will get the quote
    Good luck

I did couple of test from two of my Malaysia datacentre rack and it has no problem having 10MB/s download speed via wget. 200ms ping.

I ordered a server with WebNX few days back. Ordered it by email (They do not have any order form). In next ten minutes I received an email with a link to sign up. After updating them about my username, I received another email in next ten minutes that the server invoice has been generated in my account. I paid the invoice using my personal paypal account. Within next 48 hours I had the server password with me with exact configuration I had ordered, no verification mail... nothing!

Raised few support ticket in last two days and got a reply for each of them within minutes and each issue resolved under 30 minutes maximum.

The automation required for the ordering process is missing as of now but the ordering was not at all difficult with them. The Control panel I have been given has the minimum set of options that I expect from my dedicated server provider. I can see the bandwidth graphs, reboot the server, use help desk, list servers, billing/invoices etc.

I'd bounce you too if you are using a proxy to place an order.

A lot of fraud does take place in the hosting business. So every business takes extra precaution before taking an order.

    So I guess its normal......

Sorry to hear about your issues. Webnx like other providers have to protect themselves and proxy servers are used to mask identity. Usually a phone call will solve it but PacificRack has mzima I think and are in California.

Ditto. You almost need to prove yourself during the ordering process, once you're confirmed legit then the service provider begins servicing *you*.
