The Saffron Patch in Akron Ohio (not the Cleveland location).

I've had two guests come over from England and eat our Indian food, and both agree it is better than anything they've ever had at home. Saffron Patch is well known as a restaurant our local Indian population enjoys quite a bit. I've heard this restaurant easily passes as a fine dining establishment back home. I love it!

    Segovias in Moonachie NJ.
It's a tiny little Portuguese restaurant (seating for 160 people) in an out of the way place, but the food is exceptional and has been since I was a kid. Huge portions, cooked perfectly and inexpensive.
For example: Roast Prime Ribs of Beef Au Jus.....25.95
This isn't your typical 1/2" thick Prime Rib, this is like 2 inches thick and hangs off the plate. Cooked to perfection.

If you go, I highly recommend this appetizer:
    Shrimp Garlic Sauce.....9.95
    Remarkable.

I'm partial to Panda Express and On The Boarder. However if you are in San Antonio and have a bunch of money you don't want. Try Flemings for sure, and/or Alexander's, its less expensive.

I'll second GenghisGrill, it's a great place to eat and I'd eat there daily if it wasn't a 30 minute drive to and from.

I have to say Central 214 in Dallas is my new favorite restaurant. It has a really creative menu and I have to like any place with Chicken Fried Kobe Beef. (It does not get any more Texan than that!)

    http://www.central214.com/menu.php?s=menu&sec_id=3

There is actually a TV show on WE or something about this restaurant.

    Thumbs up

    The Stem & Stein

Great beer (and wine if you're a woman) and while their menu isn't particularly exotic or gourmet the food is good, priced reasonable. The whole package is just excellent (the food, the beer, the atmosphere). After I sold my hosting company I strongly considered opening a place much like this only the food would have been German oriented rather than (somewhat) Greek oriented as they are.

Another local favorite is Tony's Little Italy good homemade Italian food, best pizzas you'll ever get, and not too bad priced. At least it's not a boring Italian chain restaurant (I'm looking at YOU Olive Garden).

I cannot live without Subway or Quiznos. And now that I have increased my menu choices at Subway, it is currently beating out Quiznos and since it is across the street, that helps too.

Very nice, romantic, great for business meetings in the area, etc. I'm finicky when it comes to eating out, if it's a place like that. I'd say they sometimes outdo Mortons in terms of their porterhouse steak.

Far as chain goes, In-n-Out and Subway get my vote.

As far as what I'll eat? Greek, Italian, French, Spanish (not Mexican), etc. Cyprian, etc.

I can't do Mexican food or I've got heartburn until the next day.

Have either of you tried Which Wich? There's one in Dallas, but I tried it out at the advice of someone a month ago when I was down in San Diego. It's pretty good, and beats most sandwich shops that are mainstream.

Yup, there's one here in Southlake. They make a nice sandwich, CM's still better though.

At any rate, they have a very cool niche in the market that works very well for them.

What is Central Market Cafe like, like a bar and grill specializing in unique sandwiches, drinks, etc.?

And to your previous post which I didn't notice beforehand: I'm surprised In-N-Out hasn't opened one in Dallas. It does give you and excuse to move to California, lol.

I've yet to have trulucks, but from what I have heard they are amazing. I don't really like Ruth Chris's, the one I went to multiple times always failed me. It doesn't seem to be a trend with them, they keep going through "new management" but their food, staff, are unsatisfactory.

Bob's Chophouse is great, same with JR's Steakhouse(Colleyville, TX).
