Do you want to rent it and use it with your current provider or are you looking for a provider who can give you a server with Windows 2008 DC edition?

If the first option is the case: you can't rent Windows on your own. Service providers like us can rent Windows licenses from MS under SPLA, but this is only valid if you rent it along with a server.

If the second option is the case: I think there are plenty of providers available who could do that.

This will not be possible, I'm afraid.

But I think some datacenters and companies do this.

If you have your own copy and your provider can give you KVM access with virtual media, you could install it yourself.

Yes, for their own server customers, but not for customers that are not part of their infrastructure.

Nobody is allowed to rent Windows licenses without a server. Trust me, I dealt with MS's SPLA a lot this year... It's just not allowed, and if somebody does it, MS better not find out about it...

There's plenty out there. You can also try the quote feature on WHT or you can go to hostvoice.com directly and try to find one there.
