    Better IMAP client for Ubuntu

I've been using ubuntu for a while now and despite many people saying "Oh...its just a matter of time before you change back to windows" I am still using it.

My only gripe is that the Evolution IMAP...is...well....it works but it doesnt really "sync" with the SENT and TRASH folders.

For example, if I send or trash an email it does not go to the main mail server sent or trash, it goes to the local trash and sent folders.

So if I need to see what I trashed and what I sent, I need to remember which computer I did it from and I work from many computers so its not really easy to keep track.

Is there any specific setting I can configure to tell which folder should sent messages to go to and which folder trash messages go to?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I don't like evolution (but I don't hate it anymore), I use Thunderbird (in Debian: icedove).

Now, if you *really* care (I don't care either), there are themes for it:

Well.. you could try kontact (kmail), and configure the "identity" to store the mail on the server's sent folder instead of the local sent folder, it looks... nicer, but I still prefer thunderbird.

mmmmm... and... why don't you use IMAP with the exchange server?

Also, evolution can work with exchange, but I hasn't tried exchange 2007 (sorry: not a Windows user on this side).

IMAP with exchange with thunderbird is a bit flaky for some reason, but may be I just need to configure it properly.

I use thunderbird with regular IMAP email and it works just fine.
