    * Affiliate Networks

    We recently launched an affiliate program in testing and think we will make it public soon. Does anyone know any good affiliate networks to sign up with?

    Well honestly most good affiliates are good customers. Customers who will reffer a friend. If you have a strong customer base like that I recommend buying www.idevaffiliate.com and doing your own affiliate system in house. The link I provided is one i've used for several years it is very customizable and works with paypal idx!

    What type of budget do you have? I certainly recommend at least having your own in house affiliate program (even if you also join an affiliate network). A program like $alesman recommended (idevaffiliate) or others like groundbreak.com and postaffiliatepro. With the in house program you can avoid the large fees associated with the larger affiliate networks.

    In regards to affiliate networks, the largest ones for web hosting services are: CJ, Shareasale and Linkshare. Be advised each of these does require join fees as well as a % of each payout amount. Example: CJ charges 30% of the payout amount ($100 payout is actually a $130 payout, 100 to the affiliate and $30 to CJ).

    Networks do however have advantages such as access to a larger immediate affiliate base for recruiting, additional tools for the affiliate and a higher sense of trust/confidence from affiliates as their commissions are more protected as well as the networks have more automated payouts.

    Feel free to post any further questions. Good luck with your launch

    We have actually been testing jrox, as that integrates with WHMCS. Not sure how good it is compared to the others though.

    Well, you can try Affiliation Cash & ClickBank.
    Or you can code/buy a script to get your own Affiliation Network working.

    If you want non-customer affiliates, you need to have very competitive payout rates, and lowish priced packages (usually ensuring high sign-up rates). Otherwise, whether you like it or not, the affiliate program will be more of a way for your customers to get paid for the customers they bring in. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it is to be carefully weighed. Some high end companies rely a lot on word of mouth advertising, done by their very satisfied customers. Paying them for referrals is unlikely to increase the number of customers they bring in much, while possibly adding up quite a big to the costs.

    We use clixgalore and an internal one. They are free to join in that what you pay on sign up is prepaid commissions. We got a few good affiliates but there are limitations. For example we offer recurring commissions to the referrer for the life of the customer so they keep earning a % and ClixGalore are not good at that - so make sure if you fit in their box if you go with them or there will be manual work - but for us it was worth it.

    I'd recommend contacting CJ direct to make sure they haven't changed their fees. However you'd be looking at roughly $5000 in joining fees. However roughly $3,000 of that is for your initial deposit which will go towards affiliate payouts. CJ charges 30% of the payout to the affiliate. There are monthly minimums required by CJ. Contact them for the full list of fees.

    Linkshare is higher.

    Shareasale is less: $550 access fee, 20% transaction fee: http://www.shareasale.com/learnmore.cfm
