Which software is used to provide backup service?

    Hi,

We are thinking of offering backup service on our website. I had a few questions. Are there any control panels that are built just to offer backup? Also is there anything that is pluggable into WHMCS?

Please let me know as I could not find anything online.

    Regards

I'm using R1soft for my server backups. I'm using Ahsay for client office computer backups. I haven't tried integrating them with WHMCS though.

We use rsync daily backups, works great and easy to restore in seconds.

I am looking to offer backup service. I.e. People signup for backup service and the system sends them their FTP login and pass.

    Thanks

I like dirvish. You could do something with chroots and ftp to keep users in their place. I think that a lot of users want a web interface to grab their files/browse etc though. I would consider that as a requirement unless your users are unusually competent.

ahsay obs is a good product, decent price.
And if you are looking a WHMCS module pluging for obs, you can try ours at

    boxbackup.ca/cp/cart.php?gid=3

I'd suppose you could. Not too sure if your allowed to use it in a commercial situation. Check their EULA.
