    How to remove a directory from google

    Will you please let me know how to remove a directory from google.
    I just want to remove one directory from google and all page inside it like directory name is
    /forum.

    You can do 301 redirects or you can include the disallow instruction in your robot.txt file to block spiders from crawling that directory.

    I think you can request to be de-indexed in google webmasters.

    is it disallow or block folder only ?
    or is it also remove all content of the folder from google ?
    Right i just disallow google to crawle as you said but i do also want to remove all files from this particular folder should i also put remove folder request in google ????

    well sir look
    for example i have direcotory www.mydomain.com/forum
    i want to remove all of its subdirectory and content . so i put removal request like

    www.mydomain.com/forum
    is that correct and i also do add disallow it in robot.txt
    /forum/

    one more thing now google removal tool saying "Removed" but its still there is google search?

    not sure about subdirectory
    IMHO: each url should be submited separately

    I did url removal several years ago, it took a week to remove from google index

    Just block the search engine crawler robot using htaccess

    not possible becoz out 4.4 not found custom file in these so old user can go new link.

    The easiest way to do this is by creating a robots.txt file and editing it to disallow search engines in that particular folder.

    This will block requests from all search engines, not just Google.

    I seen that google removed all of my other directory from google as well.
    is i used correct data in remove request like

    www.mydomain.com/forum

    or i should also inlude / after forum like below

    www.mydomain.com/forum/
