Recommend me a webhost (CPanel, under $6)

Im getting really tired with skynet hosting. They are down few times a week, slow response over helpdesk, no response via support forums. So, im looking for alternatives.

If you've been with your host for a few month, and in general satisfied with them, and you have features below, pleeeeease reccomend me your host, i'll check 'em out for other features I need.

    - up to $5-6/mo
    - Linux
    - CPannel
    - multiple domains hosting

    Thanks in advance!

If you are looking for a shared Hosting Company (amongst other types of hosting accounts) take a look at

    - Hostgator (Hatchling = $4.95 / baby = $7.95 / Business = $12.95)http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml
HostGator Support is one of the best out there..
Been with them a few years now after moving from Imhosted

goodness.... whats with all the random links on their site and the "nude" chick on their banner ?? Well I sure hope their service is great, as there will be a handful of reputable hosts with ugly websites.

For the OP, give hawkhost a look, they have quite the solid reputation around here.

Apparently their domain is for sale:
    http://www.sedo.com/search/details.p...artnerid=17505

Doesn't instill much confidence in their future.

What are your disk space and bandwidth requirements and what are your actual usages now?
It looks like you have missed posting this in your opening post, which is quite important when searching for a suitable hosting provider.

I was just about to ask that.

I would say to have a look at www.surpasshosting.com if you are looking for hosting in the US. Always been very very good to us, along with their parent company HostDime who we had servers with for a number of years until we moved to our own servers in the UK.

There are plenty of good hosts for you to choose from. How much resources are you using? Do you have a location preference? What type of website are you hosting?

    I would suggest www.fazewire.com or www.mddhosting.com or even www.aquariusstorage.com

All three have good reputation around here on WHT.
    Nothing here right now.

www.Tradewebhosting.com will provide you with Cpanel 10 gigs of space, 300 gigs a month bandwidth for $5 a month.
What experience or Service/Domain do you hold with them?

    - up to $5-6/mo
    - Linux
    - CPannel
    - multiple domains hosting
You will find quite a few webhosts that offer those requirements in your price bracket. How many domains do you wish to host and do you expect more domains in the future to add to your hosting account?

What sort of Bandwidth & Space do you require on top of your current expectations and do you expect any additional features as apart of your service?

What kind of site you have, small or large?
If you do not expect a high quota on space and bandwidth, your budget would be very reasonable!
Like Sean said, and how many site you want to host?So that we can suggest better!

The OP asked for recommendations from people who have actually used this companies, not for us to all point at each other and say "use him" I'm pretty sure a company's advert doesn't count as a review

I already mentioned how good I think surpasshosting / hostdime in the US are, there's also Pacwebhosting.co.uk over here in the uk who are quite good - they started out reselling with Evo so we know them quite well... Pauls a nice guy! anyway who else can I think of... despite what some people have said about them, I've found GoDaddy to be okay when I've seen/used their services in the past.

Or for the more adventurous there's www.GBservers.co.uk who provide low cost unmanaged VPS, not sure but I think they will supply cPanel for you, if not you can always get a license from www.instantcpanellicense.com

I suppose that is right time to leave a free quote in the "Find a host section" here on the WHT. Once you post it you will start getting offers from subscribed companies.
