    SSL opinion appreciated

    Greetings WHT!

As probably you notice this is my 1st post so excuse for some question that can be so noobish

For what i read on this for and for the com-sensnse a ssl´s mandatory for a web hosting company.

    Cases are:

Access to WHM, Cpanel Client´s/billing-area support etc etc.

Now my question is with so many certificates tipes/companies would be the most suitable for.

I personally use a RapidSSL from GeoTrust which are very secure and you cannot beat their prices.

I would just go for the basic godaddy SSL $20 / year and you could also probably find a coupon.

I would check out the SSL Wizard at sslshopper.com to find the best certificate that meets your needs.

    hey Carlos!

I am more interessed in the tipe of ssl rather the company that provide it.

There are several tipes Single wilcard EV etc etc tipes of certificattes that to me makes me a bit cobnfuse to understand how can they be so diferent in terms of price and even more to try compare across diferent providers.

Most times cheapest means poor quality.

I would personally snag one of the EV certificates. I wish I did...

Something about that big green bar that just screams "secure" to me. I love it.

If looking to secure a single server setup for WHM/cPanel and billing areas then an AlphaSSL cert from globalsign with wildcard is your best bet, personally for any sites that i work on that need secured i only take certs from GlobalSign, i find them very easy to work with.

An AlphaSSL w/ Wildcard will set you back about £50
