Macbook Pro & 7200 RPM HDD

    Hello all,

I'm planning upgrade my 13.3 inch Macbookpro (Unibody version) 's HDD to new Seagate Momentus 7200.4 ST9320423AS 320GB 7200 RPM. But I heard a lot of complaint regarding HDD's noise when upgrade to 7200 RPM drive with this laptop (

Anyone has upgrade to 7200 RPM drive for Macbookpro? Do you experience any problem/noise so far? and which model of your drive.

I haven't had any experience with a Macbook pro and a 7200RPM drive, but its only natural for a faster RPM drive to be louder, as well as hotter, especially in a laptop. It al depends on how much it bothers you. Some harddrives are designed to run quiter then others, just shop around and do some research.

Have no idea with MBP, but I upgraded my old PowerBook before. No more noise, but a bit hotter.
