    Touchsupport.com ?

    Hows touchsupport.com doing now after separating from ThePlanet? Any better or the same?

    Sent an email to them at 11:17 AM, it is now 4:24PM. Does their sales staff work on the weekends?

    Edit: Turns out sales only works during normal business hours.

    From what I recall, they were bought out by another hosting company based in Chicago.

    We work with TS, they have been great since the transition.

    Usually you can get a response from the on the weekend. It seems right now thier site is showing a page not found...

    Thumbs up Update on Touch Support

    They had a hardware malfunction yesterday (Saturday) evening, but services were restored by mid-day today. As Marc said we use several of TouchSupport's services and are extremely happy with the quality of services provided.

    I have partly written a full review which includes the details of the sellout etc, and hope to post it later this week. But the short story is that TouchSupport is now back operating from Lafayette Indiana & Brent and his crew are A+++.

    Its a confusing situation, but as I recall this is what happened:

    The Planet did buy them out... Don't get me started on it... wait for the review/story...

    Then the Planet decided that they didn't want client support side only the server admin side, so a couple months later they sold the client support side to '??Hands-on Support??' (Can't remember the name exactly).

    Since then I have noticed what seems to be a fairly high rate of turnover of server admin staff at the planets server admin department. Then in August the server administration at The Planet got to the point where i was waiting an average of 1.2 days for replies. At this point I couldn't take it anymore, and started looking for alternative administration.

    I was It was a coincidence that got in touch with Brent at the "new" TouchSupport (Now called TouchSupport LLC). And He filled me in on the whole story as to what happened etc. TouchSupport LLC is many of the old TS staff who left the planet once TS LLC reopened.

    Let me know if that helps clarify, like I said I am writing the whole story in a review because I believe the community here should know what really happened and the results of it. I personally think that TS's reputation got damaged by no fault of their own by the poor lack of communication that occurred after The Planet bought them, sold them, etc.

    I've been using them for 2 months now and couldn't be happier. Sending an email to support@ during any time of the day and having it fixed quickly is nice! AND EASY
