what is kacpid?
I am noticing that the kacpid process causing high cpu load.
What does kacpid do? Is there a way to fix for this problem?

I would check out that thread and as far as I know this is a daemon that has to do with power management on your system.

As in my experiences it will be fine if you add the following two parameters to your kernel in your grub.conf /menu.lst
Windows/Linux Expert; Plesk/Cpanel/Ensim Guru.
..and an expert spam tracker.
