If you could tell us what Operating System you are running it will help out greatly.

Microsoft includes perfmon.exe, a tool to set up performance counters. It includes graphs, can dump files, and is relatively easy to set up if you have IT background.

If you are looking for a free Windows solution you can check out http://www.rokario.com/products/bandmon/2-0/ for a free product. It logs bandwidth, and displays an interactive graph. The pay version has web reports.

For Linux there are quite a few free choices, but one of the ones I have used previously is Bandwidthd. Check out its page at http://bandwidthd.sourceforge.net/

Cacti is another great option that works on both Linux and Windows, but it looks like the setup is a little more involved. Check out its page at http://cacti.net/

Good luck with your bandwidth monitoring!

    Hello Roberto,

You can install awstats manually in a VPS without control panel. I have configured the AWstats on linux machine without control panel, but it can be installed in Windows or Mac.
