ensim load spikes
Every 2 hours or so one of our ensim boxes seems to get a load spike for around 10 minutes, then go back down...
Is there something on ensim that runs every 2 hours .. or does anyone know a way of me fixing this to spread out the load better..
At the moment its not an issue, but when the box is full i wouldnt like to see i doing this. There are around 30 sites currently on it and its a p4 2ghz.
Any ideas / comments would be great.Matt Wallis

If you run top, you might see runaway apache processes. This is a problem which as been confirmed and patched (just recently) by Ensim. Check ensim's site for the httpdmon.so patch.

You have to try some stuff..
Use top to see what command does it.
Updatedb is a command to update slocate and it can load the server.
Logrotation can also cause the server to overload.
Tomcat logs grow too much, try to apply the fix if thats the problem.
If its none of the above. You should try rackshack forumsRob
