it possible to test own server in my home
it possible to test own server in my home(only to test)
iam haveing centos 5.4 with vmware
need 2mpbs for testing it be good i think so
but only i haveing issue is ip(iam useing dynamic ips
it anyway to test as local server with dynamic ips?
Yes, you can use service such as https://www.dyndns.com/ which provides a way to track the dynamic IP address and map it with a Fully Qualified Domain name.
You would need to port forward port 80/443 from within your router interface to the server internal private IP address.
I don't think it is possible to test your server live using dynamic IP but I am not sure. I believe 2mbps is your total speed so it will be shared with uplink and downlink speed.
Also, many ISPs' don't allow to setup web server. Make sure your ISP has no problem to setup this in your home.
