Blackberry for business, iPhone doesn't carry that around - it's a hell of a lot more common on people though, it's no longer a professional device.

Absolutely -- on a daily basis. The integration with Apple Mail, iCal, Address Book, etc. is essential for me personally.

But everything I do could easily be done on any smartphone. I think it's all personal preference.

iPhone is a Blackberry and then some, I use my iPhone for business on a daily basis.

It downloads e-mails fast, I'm able to check WHM, Server monitors, side businesses, WHMCS, and much more.

Then what's even better, is when I am finished with that, I can play video games.

Tell me you have a better phone, I dare you
Not sure what to put here :-P

So for the device to be professional, it has to be less common?
I think the iPhone is a great overall phone - it's Exchange and enterprise capabilities have improved alot.

Comes in very handy on a daily basis and easily one of my most used devices. I wouldn't say it's the absolute best though.

    All the time.

For me, it's an internet enabled device that fits into my pocket that enables me to stay connected through email, web browsing, sms, voice. It also holds all my music, my MSN, heaps and heaps of great games and heaps of other various apps from GPS to news apps. I get most of my news from the news apps. I have around 120 apps installed on it.

I get a kick out of folks saying the iPhone is not a "professional device". I'm sitting in a coffee shop the other day, looking as casual as heck. At the next table was 3 chaps in suits, wannabees, probably real estate agents. They've got their blackberry phones all out I'm uber casual watching CNN on my iphone. One of them says to me, "that's the iphone right. Yeah, my kid's got one of those". I smiled and said, "lucky kid".

My previous phone (device) was an i-mate jasjam. I thought that was hot, but when I got the iphone it felt like Apple went 10 years into the future and came back with the iPhone technology. It was just that far infront of the i-mate, like a generation ahead. I couldn't believe how good this thing was. And all the apps too. Mindblowing stuff. This is the device I've been craving all these years.

Is there a device that you do prefer more, or are you hoping that a better device will come out?

I use an iPhone daily for data and is also my primary phone. If I needed a phone specifically for business, I'd much rather have a Blackberry. With the Blackberry push method and the ability to run background apps, I don't even consider the iPhone as a comparable device for business.

I use my iPhone for work daily. I had a BlackBerry for a few weeks and decided to give the iPhone a try. Best decision I could have made. Other phones have their advantages, and iPhone is not perfect by any means, but I love it. I have heard of more and more businesses giving employees an iPhone instead of a BlackBerry - they can definitely handle the workload.

    Here's a question.

Are you guys using a program to store links and passwords to common items (WHMCS, webmail, etc) or do you rely on the bookmarks in the standard Safari browser?

    1Password.

Warning: that's an App Store link and will launch iTunes.

    tws,

I use 1Password as well. I wasn't sure if I was off in left field using that. Glad to know I'm not alone.

I switched from the Blackberry to the iPhone.

Typing on the iPhone is far from comfortable, and the battery life could be better.
I do consider it a great business device (or more the applications available for it), especially in the hosting industry.

Sure thing! I use it daily for checking mail, WHMCS, even some forums.
The thing I really need and trying to get it on iphone is Nagios plugin like the one at mozilla firefox.

Quite true, and same for Blackberry phones, as well. It seems like everything beats the Windows Mobile phones.
