    * Help to choose server

    Help to choose it would be better:
    Dual Hyper-Threading Intel Xeon 2.2GHz, 1GB, 40GB
    Dual Core Pentium 2.8Ghz, 1GB, 160GB
    I think between these configurations.

    I'd get the Xeon. Hard drive is pretty small on it though.

    What do you plan on using it for?
    the xeon is better but has less hard drive space so that may be an issue.

    Yes, I do not need more HDD. main thing for me that was normal CPU and RAM enough. I was just embarrassed that HDD IDE. that he did not let failure.

    Can you give more details on CPU (model, cache), RAM (DDR, ECC?), and HDD (IDE, SATA) of both servers?

    That Xeon would probably be 2X the performance.

    I wrote above. on both servers the same RAM, only the difference in the HDD and CPU

    I would go with the Xeon, and maybe opt for a bigger drive.

    If the size of the hard drive isn't important to you, I'd recommend just going with the Xeon.
