Good Registrar with API Support?
I’m in search of a low-price registrar with API support for new registrations and transfers. I don’t really want to pay $78,000 a year to save $.30 per domain, and I’m not looking to get rich on domains - I just want to make it a little easier to register/transfer for my customers.
Ideally, I’d like to charge my customer and simple pay one monthly bill to the registrar instead of having them bill the customer too.

Did I just get ignored, or does nobody really know of a registrar with these features?

Dotster. Their Instant Reseller is free and domains are $10 wholesale and they offer an API. Everybody's all hopped up on eNom - I'm not real impressed with them personally.

I don't think godaddy has an API interface. If I'm going to take over the world, then I need an API interface!

godaddy/wildwest domains has come a long way since they started. they say that their api is on the way. I am also waiting for it. Their reseller program does cost, but it is one of the best I have seen.

No, no no.
Try OnlineNic.com , we are partners with these people, as we host them. But they are great guys, $6.69 a year per domain name.
API, yesh its great!
Here I am including their latest API which we will release as a plugin for HS VZ, should be done by the end of the month.
Its nice and flexible.

take a look at OpenSRS. They have a great API and premade perl scripts with support for various third party ports in other languages including php. A bit more expensive that the others, but still worth a look.
