Many virtual network interfaces on same server

For a server that use many virtual network interfaces (IP ranges) there is any posibility to find that 2 IP's from different IP ranges are pointing to same machine server?

OK, to really anser your question requires a little more info. It's perfectly possible to have many IP's on a specific server and on many subnets, but the method is operating system dependant.

For example, on Linux, if eth0 is your main network interface, you can asign additional IP's to eth0:1, eth0:2, eth0:3 etc. each having it's own IP and subnet.

    Let's assume that:
    - first IP range aa.bb.cc.1-5 is asigned to eth0:1-eth0:5
    - second IP range dd.ee.ff.1-5 is asigned to eth0:6-eth0:10

In this case, it is possible to find that the IP aa.bb.cc.4 (from first IP range) and the IP dd.ee.ff.2 (from second IP range) are pointing to same server (machine)?

You can use VLAN tagging if your ethernet card supports it, then this can be easily accomplished. Otherwise, you may need to look at another solution (an additional NIC card for the other subnet) unless someone has a better idea.

Usually we are able to just use VLAN tags and the NIC card to separate the traffic for each subnet, then again, it is hardware dependent in some cases. You may want to ask your provider as all networks are designed differently.
