SERPs can't be better if your site is hosted in US, but it can be better if incoming links pointing to your site are made from the US resources. In some degree it may help.

I thinks server location doesn't effect SEO but your server uptime and other factors can damage the SEO so better choose a good server with good uptime guaranty.

Server location HAS influence when it comes to local search. When you are conducting searches from Canada, Google will give preference (relative, not absolute) to sites hosted in Canada (and sites with .ca extension) as compared to sites hosted elsewhere.

IP would effect SERP on geo related search only. Also consider to have not hosted with similar content website on a same server using shared ip

If server location did matter too much on SEO, would that not risk most global cloud hosting businesses or at least all their customer sites??

My impression is that server location has little or no bearing on search result rankings. That said, be sure that your server is not also, say, a web site spam haven or the like.

Oh, so i no host site on spamhaven.com. bad 4 seo? i c. tyvm ur knowledge is papreciate.
I still don't understand why people think Google or Yahoo, or whatever would be like "Wow, your hosting is in the Spain so I am going to give you a lesser PR" or the contrary "Wow, your hosting is at LSN, so I am going to give you a better PR" (Hehe)

No I don't think that server location matters. As google feeds on the content and as we know contents are the king it doesn't make any difference where the server is located.
