Opinions on cart for this job

    Hey guys,

So I have a client I'm doing a design for and he wanted a cart to list their products with a secure checkout.

His new business is an automotive repair/part shop.

I'm toyed with a few different carts but I still do not know a lot about all of them to make a solid pick here, any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    David

We use Miva, has the best support and been on the market for a long time.

I vote for OpenCart. Fast, simple and easy to setup and use.

Another consideration is Magento. It's nice, but very feature-packed...most people might not need all the features, so it might be too overwhelming.

Both scripts are open source scripts.

Well I'm looking into both. If i found a nice paid one I may use that for all future cart sites I do, but I've seen some very nice free one's as well.

I agree that this type of store is perfect for the Miva Merchant interface. Look into Miva Skins and Modules too for store customization ... very easy to use and excellent support, especially if using one of their premier partner hosts.

    Good luck!
