    queueprocd failed...

    Hello,

Anyone familiar with the process "queueprocd". It's listed in WHM - "Service Status" as failed and cpanel sends out an email every 5 minutes.

Here is the content of the email:
"queueprocd failed @ Sun Oct 18 04:37:57 2009. A restart was attempted automagically.
    Service Check Method: [check command]"

    Thanks.

looks like the solution was to upgrade to cpanel. queueprocd was a process from a later version of cpanel then was on the server (probably a switch from automatic updates for cpanel from CURRENT tree to RELEASE tree caused this problem )

queueprocd is new in 11.25 (now in CURRENT) that reduces the number of times Apache needs to be restarted.

Thanks all, I was having the same problem, seems you can't switch from current to stable release without things messing up, wich sucks.

I think this is a bug in cpanel. I have a friend who opened a ticket in cpanel because queueprocd fails whenever she installs SSL. According to cpanel, its a bug and was surprised that only one person reported it.

Well a lot of us can't open tickets with cpanel (at least I don't think) I tried to open a ticket, by putting in my IP I got from my provider, and they just showed me my providers logo and their support link. Like my provider is really going to know how to fix a cpanel bug.

You can ignore it and still proceed to open a ticket with cpanel.

    Cool

Use SSH and run this command to fix the problem

    /scripts/upcp --force

That should take care of the queueprocd failed on your server.

It's a bug. If you execute the following

    /scripts/restartsrv queueprocd
you will notice that the service isn't present. Just remove queueprocd from WHM >> Service Manager OR remove the entry from /etc/chkserv.d/chkservd.conf file.

i have received the same problem today when installing the wildcard ssl on the cpanel server.

Here is the output of the error i received:

queueprocd failed @ Thu Jan 19 14:31:34 2012. A restart was attempted automagically.

    Service Check Method: [check command]

    Number of Restart Attempts: 1

Cmd Service Check Raw Output: queueprocd is not running

And thanks madaboutlinux for suggesting a solution.
