Hey,

I'm planning to buy two SSD drives from newegg, but someone told me that newegg may have some specials after Thanksgiving, on black friday or cyber monday.

I never purchased from US before (apart from sevral server rentals), I know newegg don't ship outside of US, I got that part already covered with a friend in US.

My question is, does it worth to wait 6 weeks to buy something from newegg? Do they drop prices of almost everything, or of just a few products? What is the average price drop percentage?

I always found the NewEgg super promotions (as I call them) to be limited to a few items. I never found those sales to be of much use.

Newegg has great prices in general, but their sales are hit-and-miss unless a specific sale item piques your interest, I would say.

In most cases for all retailers the really hot Turkey Day specials are quite limited in quanity and aren't worth getting out of bed and standing in line for.

I certainly would not wait until then to buy something I needed.

I hate to say it, as well, but many of the 'great deals' can be found on web sites like Amazon.com for around the same cost all year round (That said, certain merchants do have some very awesome deals, though in limited quantity as you mentioned.)
