I have been a fan of Ensim since about 2004-2005 and since I've dabbled ina nd out of the Web industry (and world really) I only recently found out it's now called Parallels Pro?!
Anyway, my question is, I wanted to use Parallels Pro with Ubersmith and Kayako SupportSuite. But Ubersmith doesn't support PHP5 at the moment, and I'd rather be using PHP5.
If I use Parallels (which is a must, for my experience and preference since I don't like cPanel much), and I use Kayako SupportSuite, because I find it an excellent support system for both administrators and end users.
What would really be the best billing system to add alongside these?
Originally I didn't want any people suggesting any other things, but I'll be open I guesss, if anybody wants to suggest another combination of reliable, professional and "corporate looking for the end user" systems, please go ahead.
Would appreciate any and all comments anyone may have!
[I plan to start a web hosting company that does shared, reseller and dedicated hosting, and maybe VPS, but VPS might be a future development.]
I know that WHMCS+Kayako SupportSuite work quite well. It was a Plan B. But was looking for something more... well I just like the clean, simple easy to use and corporate looking UI on Ubersmith plus all it's features.
WHMCS is cheaper, so there is an instant upside to using that, plus the working well with SupportSuite.
If I was comfortable with messy cPanel, I'd use that with WHMCS/SupportSuite, that woudl be no problem. But for those many clients I have and will get in the future who aren't as tech-literate at many, the Ensim site administrator is by far the most simple and straightforward and reliable control panel I know.
I was with them for 3 years give or take and recently moved to WHMCS mainly because the support for Plesk Billing went down the tubes. It used to be rock solid, but one day it seems the support deptarment just up and left.
