An email account can't be deleted in cpanel?
My tech guy/partner doesn't have enough posts to start a thread here, so I'm starting one and he'll explain in the next post.

Sorry - I figured it out. My account was indeed activated; and I wasn't trying to include a URL, *BUT* I did change my contact email. I had to confirm, and I did.
Here's the deal. I recently lost my domain (royalcomputerworks.com) because either I forgot to check auto-renew at my old provider, or they missed something. (Probably my fault.) In any event, I didn’t want to pay increased prices due to the domain being in redemption status; and I found one I liked better, so I purchased it, pointed it to the server, renamed the account on the server, etc.
However, inside the “Mail” tab in Cpanel, it lists my new account name, as well as one of the old emails for royalcomputerworks.com. When I try to delete the account, it says “Your email account is successfully deleted. Sorry, you don’t have access to that domain”, and the account still shows up.
To clarify, I should point out that I can’t actually log into that ‘account’ – I dunno that it's actually an account so much that it's sort of a glitch - IOW, account may not be actually existing, but still reflected as an account in Cpanel. However, I want it gone; yet I can’t delete it.

Can you see the account listed in WHM?
If not, have you tried recreating the account then deleting the email account, then terminating the account again?Your one stop shop for decentralization

Technically, I can't recreate the account; the email was with the royalcomputerworks.com domain, which I 'lost.' If I created an email address it'd have the @geek4him.com (my new domain) tied to it.
I haven't checked WHM yet though; will check.

goto /home/user/mail and remove the folder of that domain name, also remove the entries corresponding to that domain from /home/user/etc/passwd

Ok; deleted the first (it was a symlink) and the second did not exist.
Still shows up in "Mail" under Cpanel.

Nope. This is annoying as heck.
(I appreciate your help, though; if nothing else I'm learning a lot.)

When you changed the domain name associated with the account in WHM, did you notice any errors as it seems the process did not complete smoothly.
Try renaming the domain name to some FQDN temporarily, then change the domain name to the current one you own and see if that resolves it.Twitter : http://twitter.com/eth1networks

No, there were no errors associated with the domain name change. As far as renaming the domain, I'll try that and see what happens.
