I dun gone and did it :-)

Ok, I absolutely hated Vista. However, playing around with Windows7, I decided to install Windows7 Enterprise x64 on my computer. Of course, I got a new hard drive and installed it there because I wasnt ready (or trusting enough) to do away with my old XP x64.

It's not too bad actually. Much less of a resource hog than Vista, is pretty damned quick, and a lot more familiar to me once I installed an XP theme. So far, no problems.... so far.

Yeah I went and did it and reinstalled XP after having linuxmint on ALL of my computers. I hate windows, but I love not having to mess around to get the apps I need working without a vbox or wine. Sad world we live in, but its the truth!

Yeah - Have you used vista? Personally vista is fine when its on good enough hardware (resource hungry). But 7 7 is just immence

I had Vista on my laptop, and it worked ok, but my laptop was not really designed for it. I put it on my desktop after I bought it (used), but the upgrade caused all sorts of issues with permissions, and I could not stand where it was putting my files. Thats when I installed mint, which I used solely for about 5 months before I could not stand the working around you have to do to run windows apps that have no linux native. I have to have photoshop and netbeans. There is a netbeans linux version, but it seems buggy, as does Mysql workshop. Also I got into a gaming mood, and there is very little you can do for most games on linux.

I can not wait for Windows 7. It looks fantastic. I'm on Vista now, which is horribly slow for me
All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.

Windows 7 is kick-ass. It beats Vista hands-down, and beats XP, too.

Yep they just rolled out a bunch this week.

I have been running win7 since RC1, I like it a lot. i liked Vista too. I liked the vista UI and search in toolbar, and it is way better in Win7, people using Widows XP theme may be missing out, but haven't tried it so don't know
