    * Need unmanaged xen vps

I need unmanaged Xen VPS for vpn service. here's the specs:

    RAM: 128M
    DISK: 5G
BW: at least 800GB, 1TB would be great.
    Conn: 100mbps share
IP: 2IPs in West US or Middle US.

My budget is about $25-30/M, I've searched the offer section, nothing found.

Can someone recommend such a host?

JaguarPC(Their WowVPS brand though). I'm using just normal Jag, and their VIrtuozzo VPS and it's been great

I'm sure their xen offerings are the same.

You shouldn't need Xen for a VPN service, especially a VPS with such low specs.

    Hi neXeon,
It's said OpenVZ cannot support PPTP and TC(traffic control).

That's correct PPTP only works on Xen. OpenVPN works on OpenVZ though.

I think your bandwidth requirements are a bit high for your budget but take a look at RapidXen I had a good experience with them.

Any VM can support TC at the parent node.

you do if you want to have your own routing table. openvz and virtuozzo do not support modifying the routing table from inside the container as far as I know.

that said, Xen VPS can be bought with those specifications at much lower prices. see lowendbox.com for a fairly large list of Xen providers for cheap.

    Don't do it.

I ordered a vps from them the other day. They took my payment but never set up the vps despite their advertised 2 hour setup time. Their billing/support department has yet to respond as to why. I ended up opening up a paypal dispute with them (chose that method of payment rather than credit card as their site looks a bit iffy).

I would also recommend slicehost, but their bandwidth limit is way below what you're looking for. Perhaps a bandwidth upgrade w/ slicehost might work.

I'm not suggesting any brands here, but if you are looking for a VPS for a VPN service, I would suggest that you go for one which supports TUN/TAP and NAT. I've tried a few VPS for the VPN service and they did not have the modules for tun/tap and nat available.

I would suggest that you enquire about this before you switch to a VPS provider.

I have also heard bad things about fsckvps...check around and see if there is someone with your BW requirements for the budget you have set forth.
