Hi have an eccommerce script running on the server (zen cart) and installed with a SSL certificate.
Recently all the files and folders in the httpsdocs have had their pemissions changed to 755 instead of 644. All the files in the httpdocs folder (non secure folder) are fine and showing up as 644.
both folders have the same ownership name.
I just wondered whether anyone would now why these have changed, and is this now a security issue as i don't want people executing scripts.
To add to the above, a while back FastCGI was enabled and then disabled. Also the server underwent an upgrade and all the websites had to migrated to new server. However other websites seem to be fine
Do you use Plesk panel to manage your server??
Yes im using plesk,
I had checked a few other domains i have hosted, and all the files in the httpsdocs folder have these same permissions (755) for all files even .htaccess.
The reason for my original posting was i thought i had been hacked, but its looking like maybe a server issue.
Would such permissions pose a threat?
