    Delete deleted /tmp by mistake please help!


    I have a vps and i was told to clean up the tmp directory i had to delete it 1st, well that didnt work well i had deleted it and well its not working i cant now login to my website on this vps.

    If someone could tell me howto fix that be great!

    I had eth1networks support me with this. there services is great and they are always online to help.

    I asked them and within a minute everything was restored

    We created the directory tmp using mkdir,
    mkdir /tmp
    and granted 1777 permissions,

    chmod 1777 /tmp
    Restarted MySQL daemon so that the mysql.sock file symbolic link gets recreated.
