Automatic payment processing vs customer logging in every month to pay manually
Which one do you feel is better? Having monthly payments automatically processed without client participation, or a monthly email asking clients to login every month to process payment?
I see advantages and disadvantages to both sides, but I definitely see an overall advantage to one of them. I'm interested to know your opinion based on your experience in running your hosting business.

Definitely the automated one. That allows the customer to not worry about a missed payment or forgetting it. We certainly see a lot more late payments with paying manually via Paypal than automatically on a subscription or a credit card.

I think it's 50/50. Often times people forget they have subscriptions setup with PayPal since PayPals system makes trying to navigate your subscriptions rather difficult (for both sides).
Customers see subscriptions as pretty much guaranteed payments but it really isn't, we often see subscription payments fail.
Unless your processing alot I think it's up to what suites your customer-base, take a poll of them.James Paul Woods
