HostGator is rated much better, and I would recommend it over GoDaddy for web hosting.

I've seen a number of negative reviews for GoDaddy's web hosting services.

Okay, so Hostgator. Would you recommend them more then any one else?

You are asking hosters to suggest the best host? I for 1 would not go with GoDaddy, I have used Hostgator for a while. I would suggest looking around alittle in the offers forum though.

are you looking for anything specific? or are you just picking big names from the hosting industry?

godaddy is a good registrar but I wouldn't count on them for providing good support - they are pretty slow in responses even with domain questions. As for HG, I haven't fully tried them even though I almost signed up years back so I can't comment on that.

I didn't try everyone else to pass judgment that way, but I can definitely make a comparison with Godaddy. There's a sizable difference between them, and HG wins hands down, especially when it comes to how fast applications run.

    Godaddy V Hostgator?

Hostgator would get my nod without a doubt.

There's a ton of honest companies out there too worth looking at.

    Here's a hint....take a look at LDCDC's sig above.

I definitely would not recommend GoDaddy for anything except purchasing a domain name or a SSL certificate.

If you want to do a little looking around before you stick to Host Gator, I would suggest the following...

    - Just Host
    - ImHosted
    - Hosting 24

I definitely would not recommend for both! Search for such provider who will meets your all requirement.

I suggest you try to look around first before striking a deal to any of the two. Since others experience may not be always the same with what you might experience. It's always best to look for what suite your needs best. And see to it that you have read and agreed on all the details on the contract.

Funny how your first post is consistent with the affiliate links on your web site and does not include evidence of first hand experience.

clearly im not trying to use those links here am i?

ive had experience with godaddy, hostgator, and imhosted, so im trying to lend my opinion. you can never go wrong with hostgator, but ive had problems with customer service and uptime with godaddy.

im just giving an opinion, no need to call me out.
