    Can't save crontab

    I want to run a script every minutes, i run command

    crontab -e

    to create , but i unable to save.

    */2 * * * * /root/iptables/autoblock.sh
    This is my crontab.

    I type :w, nothing change, :wq, nothing, :!, nothing.

    How to save it ?

    What is the output of the following commands,

    ls -ald /var
    ls -ald /var/spool
    ls -ald /var/spool/cron
    and

    ls -al /var/spool/cron

    its crtl+o to save and save ctrl+x to quit in cron

    What message do you get while saving the crontab.

    The way the crontab is opened depends on the editor it uses. It is uses nano, you need to save using cntrl+x and press "y". If it is vi, then use :wq

    Oh fixed. Just Esc then :wq and Enter.
