Can i get anything better than this for this price?

I am thinking of ordering this server from FDCServers:

    Dual core ATOM server
    200gb
    2GB ram
    100mps unmetered
    Direct Admin ($5/month)

    Total: $104/month

Can i get anything better than this?

I would require a shared 100mbps unmetered line.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks alot.

I think that would be best answered by FDCServers.

You can find better specs for the same amount if you don't need the 100Mbps requirement. Many people just like that to feel safe, but don't need anywhere near that amount. How much BW do you realistically think you will use?

Well i am thinking of starting a high traffic filehosting site, which will allow to upload files upto 1GB per file.

My site will get about 1000-3000 uniques per day. So imagine a 700mb-1gb file being downloaded/uploaded by more than 1000-3000 people in 1 day, how much bandwidth would i use per day?

If anyone can give me a good number i would appreciate it.

    Thanks.

By the time your site has that many visitor and that much traffic, you won't be on an Atom anymore and a much more powerful server which you will be paying more for, and you would be able to again look for different deals at that new price point.

    "starting"

How can you predict thousands of users so quickly? I think you are over-estimating your bandwidth requirements at this time.

They setup servers 24/7. Most of the time they set them up in under 24 hours.

    Yes way. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=880376

Dedicated bandwidth..for the quality and price you cannot beat this deal anywhere. If anyone can find a better deal by a "known" host feel free to post as there isn't.

For $100 you are getting a great deal. As a colo owner you can't even sell an ATOM server built and price it at $100 w/ 100mbps even if you are under the FDC space unless you have a huge amount of space + bandwidth. When you do need more power there is other servers that they sell with still "steal" prices. He should keep it at 100mbps though just because the 10mbps is $49 while the 100mbps is $99

    Dual XEON 5410 + 32GB RAM + 4x1.5TB HDD $399/month very good.
