Thanks in advancePeterOnTheNET

I would most likely go with the Dual Core E5200.

That's what I thought on the beginning, but it might be dual core Xeon 3.0 Ghz vs DC E5200 2.25GHz I'm not sure could do with more opinions.

I don't see any Xenon's on their website... Not any 3.0 GHz ones anyways.

@ hotpass105 When you go to the order page, it shows up in the Processors field, BTW its Xeon not Xenon.
Peter I would advise ask the sales there for the answers, ask them what exact models are those.Vinsar.Net - Quality Web Hosting at Economical Price on USA & European Servers

Since the quad core Xeons appear to be labeled as such, I'd guess this to be an older Xeon with hyperthreading and would go with the dual core.

Well, the Intel Xeon's are the the high end server processors, if the price difference isn't too much i'd say definitely go for the Xeon.
Tell us the specifications and prices of both packages, then we can give you a proper answer for which package is more worth the price

It is always advisable to go for Xeon processors as they are optimized for server computing and contains more amount of cache memory than Dual core processors.

Sorry guys, that's just bad advice.
We don't know what generation that Xeon is. It's probably a single core and could have as little as 512KB cache. The E5200 would run circles around that.

Nah, I had a look at their packages right after I posted.
The Xeon package is Dual CPU quad core Xeon.
PeterOnTheNet,
I would not advise going for the Xeon package unless you need so much power. That package is similar to the kinds of servers that I use, and dual cpu quad core Xeons are great, but there is no point spending so much if you aren't going to use it.
What exactly were you going to use the server for?

If you have a deal for a Xeon 3.0Ghz which has the same price as a e5200. I would say go for it...
