We are a web design company, and have a client that we are building a large interactive web portal/social community for.
He wants us to have 5-10 intercative video games that site visitors can play, similar to beer.com video games.
We have no experience with this type of web application- can someone tell me what will be involved? We want to buy license for lets say 5 'ready to go' games. Do we need special server? We have 16 dedicated servers currently for our existing clients- would a standard linux server work?
I highly doubt that you would need a dedicated server for flash games unless you are expecting a lot of people to go on the site. (100 at one time?) I think a standard linux server would do for the site.
My friend did a site that had simple flash games and he had over 100 games in total. It went ok on a shared server hosting but the games were... "Ripped off" from other sites and he had few visitors.
