checking for valid case entry (C++)

I am trying to print a main menu in which a user must type a number of the option they want to continue with, but I want to be able to catch the mistake of the user pressing an invalid option and relisting the main menu right after that.

Is there anything I could do in the default case to make this happen? Should I not even be using switch/case?

Any help would be appreciated! thanks!
