Need help finding a script
Hello All,
I was hoping I get get some help and ideas for direction about a site idea.
I am looking for something similar to pligg.com I want a script or have a script that will allow the same functionality of pligg, but with a few exceptions.
First, there is no requirement to upload links - it is an option.
Second, users aren't transferred to an offsite location, they are transferred to the users full post when they create a story.
Lastly, there isn't a short limit on stories.
Basically I am trying to create an OPINION type site that users can vote on people's opinions, just as they vote on news stories. Sort of like a social news paper editorial type website.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. And random, but I've also been thinking of using an article database type website, but it doesnt have all the same functionality as the bookarmking sites do.
Thanks for any assisstance!

All those options are probably available in Pligg configuration in admin. Download UniformServer and install Pligg on your localdrive. Login as Admin, click on the admin link and go to Configure Pligg...check out the various options.

Pligg offers a demo script. Such an option is not available.

The above was in response to RanjanUrs comment. The admin control panel doesn't allow an option to bypass requiring a link and doesn't allow for length of story descriptions.

Your best bet is to find a PHP/MySQL developer that will modify pligg to suite your needs.
