    Intall nginx or lighttpd?

Hello everybody, look for someone to do the installation and configuration of these two (lighttpd or nginx) to run along with Cpanel as compatible as possible.

Hired a 'SultanHost' but the service was not expected and support the worse.

nginx doesn't support IPv6 addresses. Lighttpd does.

Both do not support htaccess. Litespeed is what you are looking for. It is a drop in replacement for Apache and is 99% compatible. There are many topics about it here.

We use Litesepeed and love it. Many have suggested that we witch to nginx or lighttpd to save money, but the problem with both is that they are not compatible with the vast majority of sites. .htaccess is just one example.

Litespeed is a drop in replacement meaning that the panel doesn't even know it's not seeing apache. It works great, increases performance, is more secure, but does cost money.

If you're looking to setup some load balancing (which I don't think you are), then nginx is probably what you want. In it's easiest form, I've seen it used to serve all the static content (images, etc) - especially on image heavy sites. You can also use it as a load balancer by proxy, or as your web server by running php_fpm.

I think what you're looking for though is just a very streamlined and fast webserver that you can use to replace Apache with. In that case I have to mimic what Scott said, and advise you to check out Litespeed. Many providers now offer discounted License's too, so the cost is slowly becoming less of a problem.

If you don't have a control panel, lighttpd or nginx will work fine. They aren't 'drop in' replacements for cPanel as Litespeed is, though.

I believe it has a cPanel plugin as well, which should make the install even easier.

Currently I am in 10tb.com two days already having problems with my server, I lost 17 customers.

I asked the same installation of LiteSpeed and my memory and 75% use when before no more than 8%.

So do not recommend this company because it already has 2 days with this problem and no solution.

Weekend with sites off-line = prejudice

Losing customer isn't good, you have an unmanaged server with them or managed? just curious.

Sounds like a mis-configuration, maybe its spawning too many child PHP processes or something.
