why my first login is pts/0, by my second login is pts/2?

does it mean that someone(unknown) login my server by using pts/1?

Nope, it doesn't mean someone else is login as pts/1. You may have got logged out Or disconnected from one of your session after you logged in the 3rd time to your server.

You can check the number of people logged in to your server using the 'w' command. It will show you the pts, they are connected to and the IP they are logged in from.

You can always try this:

PHP Code:
[root@host ~]# ps -t pts/1

Hello, Thanks for all response.
I know the basic command to check the status of my VPS, such as "w", "ps". I cannot see any other people but me.
That's the reason I ask where is pts/1?

I could change my question as this:
In a VPS(could be anyone's VPS), the first login is pts/0, the second login is pts/2, and nobody is using pts/1. Does it means this VPS has some problems or it means nothing, and the VPS is still working normally?
