    security and ssl type

is there a difference between ssls? the price is different

Most certs are 256 bit the cost difference is usually down to things like the warranty and trust lever (Green Bar) etc.

Some confirm who the website owner is and 'secure' communications between your computer and the website. The cheaper ones just 'secure' communications between your computer and the website.

Have a look at a site that sell (enom, godaddy etc.) lots of ssl's and compaire the features.

you want ssl v3 or tls v1, not ssl v2 or v1, plus you want at least 128-bit encryption.
