    Post Public WHT Apology

    Hey everyone,

Jeff Piper here. I'm a long time member of WHT and a proud entrepreneur who prides himself on professionalism and maturity throughout each day of his life. Don't worry; this isn't a job posting

Unfortunately on July, 2nd 2009 I created a post here on WHT that has been weighing heavy on my conscious ever since. I literally view this post everyday and sit and think about how much of an embarrassment that thread is to me, my business and my business partners.

I find it hard to even paste this link for everyone to see but I feel it's appropriate for me to do this right.

    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=873002

When I visit that thread, I don't see me. I see someone posting out of anger and making COMPLETELY rash and immature comments... rash and immature comments towards a company that has blessed me with the opportunity to sell a niche product for over 3 years.

This is the reason for my post right now. I cannot go another day reading that post without a public apology to Flagship Industries, Inc., my fellow Ventrilo licensees and most importantly Mr. Brian Knapp. My comments were absolutely embarrassing towards all of us and I assure you it will not happen again. I let my failure to properly manage contracts & terms get the best of me on that day.

I can honestly say I don't make many mistakes when it comes to my business and my representation of it. Unfortunately this was not the case with that thread. I look at that posting as a black eye to me and my business partners. I can only do my best to learn from it and move forward.

Also, I want to send a quick apology to Defcon|Rich for my quick mouth in that thread as well. Sorry Rich. Your comments were spot on and have gone through my head ever since reading them.

    Thank you everyone.

No offense but is that a joke?

Surely Flagship threatened you with revoking your license. There is absolutely noting in that post that is that bad. Do you have the right thread?

I re-read that post ALL the time and I can see two very angry and/or "snotty" comments that I am not proud of.

Also, reading further into the thread I make an absolute ass of myself when dealing with Richard.

As mentioned, in whole, the thread has weighed heavy on my conscious so here this is.

Take it as a joke. Take it as an apology. I feel better now.

Based on the thread Mekhu linked to - someone else also issued a full public apology to Ventrilo and retracted their statements.

Sounds to me like Ventrilo sees the posts, threatens to terminate their customer, and forces an apology to be made.

Seems to me people on WHT like jumping to conclusions. Fair enough though.

I can assure you our license was NOT threatended in any way. Why would they?

This all began when HV_Reg (my business partner/father) caught wind of my post. I let a lot of people down by posting in anger. Let it be a lesson to us all.

Humility is a wonderful quality. You are on WHT quite a bit, so I could understand how your morals would have you feel so strongly in this matter.

It's certainly difficult to find those who are, most often, sincere.

That's how it appears to me as well. Certainly is interesting if true, but, not exactly something we're going to be able to prove, given that peoples businesses are quite important to them!

    I don't see anything wrong.

Most people will have done worse, including me.

I also didn't see too much wrong there. Maybe a hasty post back then, and I'm sure that some appreciate your apology now, but I'd say you're just fine

Yeah... that seems like a kitten angry to me... I wonder if he gets really mad, it gets much worse than that .

Anyway, personally I don't really see anything wrong with what you have posted, but nonetheless, it's good to see you have the humility to admit when you think you are wrong. Not many people do.
