I know these processes showing usualy often when something is written on disk, but they should'nt take more then 0 cpu. They dont do much cpu, kondemand was taking max 20 percent of cpu and that was only for few seconds, but that worries me beacuse on previous server there was no nor kjournald or kondemand ever taking more then 0 cpu. This new server have 700 gb with two partitions of 200 and 500 gb.
Could be kondemand active beacuse of huge hard disk?(my last server had 250gbx2 HDD).
So in shortly processes kjournald and kondemand are active all the time and their average cpu usage is 2 percent, and sometime they grow up to 20 percent.Should i worry about this or just forget about it?Also i have running history system stats on webmin so maybe that can help something.
kondemand is a kernel thread that belongs to the ondemand governor of cpufreq subsystem, which changes the p-states of the system, based on the utilization statistics. Thus itís something that helps in power management.
