    UK on it's way to 100Mb/s

    Openreach is pleased to announce that two locations have been selected for a first Fibre to the Premises pilot on brownfield sites. The two areas are Bradwell Abbey in Milton Keynes and Highams Park in London. The pilot will see speeds of up to 100Mbit/s delivered to up to 20,000 homes and businesses in each of these areas by March 2010

    Id pay for it 100% roll it out in the oxford area please. I have the need the need for speed. and so do other folk that live near me.

    We're getting similar in Dundee, Scotland soon though www.fibrecity.eu - hopefully it is a success!

    I just hope BT are not one of the retail providers.... can't get away from them fast enough.

    I also hope they don't have any issues with listed buildings as there are far too many in Dundee

    I wish the USA would hurry up with bandwidth speeds my 7mb connection is getting tired. In my area they just started offer 12 / 20 mb/s connections but not in my area yet!

    They're rolling that out in Australia too. Will be interesting to see if they can really pull it off. There's a lot of politics involved in Australia's rollout of the fibre to home network.
