No, I can't access said site. Bit of a problem of understanding from my side here: Do you think your site is on the same server as that of your host? What kind of account are you running? Many more details would be useful.

Please note: When I have an itchy point on my body I can't expect the whole world to step in and scratch me all over.

All 7 of my sites with iPower down for 5 hours. Interesting that their homepage, which is their selling tool, remains live.

    Got this fromthe ipower site.
Update 5:00pm EDT: Data Center Connectivity Issues Update, we do not have an ETA at this time. We will update this alert as information comes available.

We are currently experiencing accessibility issues with one of our data centers and apologize for the inconvenience. In the interim, we are disabling access to control panel tools, to minimize the effects to your web site.

Your web site and email may be inaccessible or slow for periods of time. We are working with our providers to resolve this issue and will update this alert as soon as we know more.

This kind of thing can happen to any company. It is not something that the company planned on and I am sure they are working very diligently to fix the problem. IMHOP I think that them issuing that alert shows that they do care about the relationship with the clients.
Hope your sites are up soon.

I agree. I know the company cares. Here is what I know. The actual data center itself went down, not just ipower went down...the entire building...it's a 600,000 sqft datacenter.

I know first hand that everything is being done and the support team is swamped with calls

Total time my site was down was 7 hrs (I am having it monitored via hyperspin - really a good tool).
I know these things happen. I think it is important to report them, because if they happen too often, then one might want to look closer at the company (not saying that is the case here).
    I appreciate everybody's response

As I said previously they will most probably not host their corporate site on their clients' servers.

I am an iPower customer -- DogRat.com -- and the problems they're having right now have frustrated me so much that I drove to Endurance International's office and met with Gary Engel, the VP of support.

Engel was forthcoming with his admission of their problems, and with an apology. There will be some scheduled downtime this weekend or next week for a significant change to their network. In the meantime, my site is so unreliable that it is, for all practical purposes, down.

I'm glad my site is just a hobby, because if I were in business I'd be in trouble. Engel estimated they've lost 300 customers today, and I can't say I'm surprised.

It depends how many customers they have. 300 customers might be less than 1% of them.

According to DomainTools they have about 350,000 domain names, which is half of what iPower had at its peak when it was based in Phoenix.

Endurance International is owned Accel-KKR, but apparently Steve Sydness is still the CEO.

300 cancellations is a lot, however one of their bigger brands that was not housed in that datacenter gets 300-400 new signups a day...it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of those customers went to their other brand...

Each customer is a value, 300 of them being lost is definitely too much. Reputation and word of mouth travels within those 300 customers.

Engel understands that marketing muscle to pull in new accounts is no good if all you're doing is replacing customers who are leaving. Every time iPower has major downtime the same promise is made that they're going to take every step necessary to prevent future outages. But then it happens again. I think Accel-KKR should tell Sydness to get the technical end of the operation in order or he's out.

I started with Ipower sometime ago and had about 10 sites with them but their support at least to me was not up to par. If I was you maybe look for another hosting with domain registration that will fit your needs.
